The Great Wall: Ghana, Africa

Courtney Young packed her bags on a whim, sold her car and bought a ticket to Africa in June of 2013. She taught at Springforth International School for nine months as an art teacher without the affiliation of any organization, simply by herself. While she was there, she took on the great task of painting eight outdoor murals and one indoor mural. Each panel stands at approximately 6 feet, while lengths vary from 5 to 10 feet. Working under harsh weather conditions including, of course, blazing African sun for two months was not easy. Each panel took, on average, about three days [18 hours each] to complete.

Each panel [8 total] stands at approximately 6 feet, with lengths varying from 5 feet to 10 feet. Working under harsh weather conditions including blazing African sun for two months was no easy task! But proves that the artist can take any sort of heat ;) Each panel took on average about three days [18 hours total] to complete.
